Meet Jameela — Creator and Believer
Hi! My name is Jameela and I started The Hook Lounge in 2020 as a way to keep me afloat during the pandemic. After battling postpartum depression along with other challenges, crochet has been an outlet to my healing. Recently in 2025, I decided to attach a deeper meaning to my brand by incorporating a core part of my life that has impacted me in an unexplainable way — Christ. Every piece I create carries a story, a prayer, and a piece of my heart. My journey has been filled with challenges and hardships, but through it all, my faith has been my anchor while creativity has been my healing.
My hope is that when you wear or use one of my handmade items, that you feel wrapped not just in warmth, but in God’s love and peace.
